Wengi

TOO MUCH A GOOD THING

Wengi is a primocane raspberry variety with an enormous yield. Many other varieties fall far behind in this regard. The raspberries have a beautiful bright colour, a long shelf life and their quality remains good during transport. Moreover, this variety tolerates high temperatures and is easy to grow.

Wengi starts production early. As a primocane, the plants already produce laterals and those produce raspberries immediately.

This variety produces rather round raspberries with a fine, fairly bright colour and excellent flavour. They are firm and also easy to pick.

Wengi appears particularly suitable for growing in areas with a moderate or a Mediterranean climate.

Recommended number of canes per linear meter (at a row distance of 2 meter):

Autumn crop: 5 to 6
Spring crop: 2 to 3
